My name is Ronna Stroud. I am the owner and Chief Creative Officer of Launched. I established Launched after working as a freelance designer for nine years. The need for online and print marketing strategies continued to increase, as did the needs of my clients. The need for businesses to have logos, printed materials and websites has changed. Now, businesses are expected to have professionally designed and developed marketing strategies to be competitive and considered trustworthy by clients and patrons.

Holding a degree in Internet Technologies gave me the foundation of web development, but I wanted more. I wanted to provide my clients with professional quality work that would compete with “big city” design firms. I wanted to strengthen my foundation in graphic design, concept development, and emerging technologies in digital media. The only way to provide my clients with what they need was to first equip myself. So, I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Web Design and New Media from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. It was during my time at AAU that I absolutely fell in love with design. It became more than just the knowledge I needed, it became my passion.

While balance, symmetry, hierarchy, typography, colors, kerning, leading, line, shape, repetition, space, value, texture, and contrast all became second nature, what I realized is that there is a lack of these elements and principles applied in the majority of websites and print media, as well.
